The effect of regulated deficit irrigation on growth, yield, and berry quality of grapevines (cv. Sangiovese) grafted on rootstocks with different resistance to water deficit

چکیده
Abstract The aim of this work was to investigate the effect full irrigation (FI), pre-veraison water deficit (RDI 1), or post-veraison 2) on growth, yield, and berry quality in container-grown, mature vines cv. Sangiovese grafted onto either 1103P SO4 rootstock over two consecutive growing seasons. Deficit regimes significantly affected vine status both rootstocks before after veraison. Trunk diameter (TD) increment markedly when restricted early, but not period. from fruit set veraison inhibited vegetative growth (TD, canopy volume, weight pruned wood) more than that applied harvest. Yield unaffected by years. Irrigation had a marked juice quality: RDI 1 treatment induced highest anthocyanin concentration, lowest titratable acidity (TA), which, instead, increased 2 treatment. treatments did modify dry weight, soluble solid content, TA, anthocyanins, epicarp total phenols rootstocks.

Effect of Cucurbita Rootstocks and Water Deficit on Growth Properties and Yield of Cucumber
Water supply in arid and semiarid regions of the world is a serious problem in crop production. Grafting may enhance water stress resistance and plants growth. In order to evaluate the effect of different cucurbit rootstocks (Flexifort, Shintoza and ungrafted cucumber) and water stress (40, 60, 90% of field capacity) on morphologic traits and yield of greenhouse cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. var...
متن کاملEffect of deficit irrigation on crop growth, yield and quality of onion in subsurface drip irrigation
Indiahas the largest area under onion (Allium cepa) crop but its average productivity (14.21 t ha-1) is considerably lower than the world’s average of 19.4 t ha-1. Besides low productivity, irrigation efficiencies are also very low i.e. 30-35% in India. Managing onion crop with less than adequate irrigation water availability is a challenge in several parts of the country. Options of i) deficit...
متن کاملThe Effect of Deficit Irrigation and Saline Water Treatments on Growth and Yield Responses of Sirvan Bread Wheat Cultivar
Today, maintaining the quantity and quality of irrigation water are the most critical challenges in the agriculture system, especially in arid and semi-arid regions of the world. Accordingly, to evaluate the growth and yield responses of bread wheat (Sirvan cultivar) to different levels of deficit irrigation and water salinity, a factorial experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block...
متن کاملGrowth and yield response of potato genotypes to deficit irrigation
In Ardabil region potato crop needs several irrigation, however ground water supplies arebeing exhausted due to reduced precipitation and intensive irrigation. In this research droughttolerance of 10 commercial potato cultivars was studied at three irrigation treatments (100%,80% and 60% of required irrigation water) in Ardabil in a two years field study, 2013-2014.At harvest, marketable tuber ...
